It was a very content Del Piero who came out of the changing rooms after today's clean victory over Vicenza, which saw him make a successful return after a month and a half's absence due to a muscle strain he suffered on 10th December last year.

Alex, who came on in the 13th minute to replace the injured Trezenguet, praised his team's performance: "It was a good match, it gives us a lot to look forward to in the future. Has Roma won again? I thought they would. Lazio won too."
