Del Piero among the world's best paid

According to a survey made by magazine France Football, Alex Del Piero is among the world's best paid players. The figures include not only the wages, but also the sponsorship deals. Alex is the fifth on the list, staying behind teammate Zinedine Zidane, Gabriel Batistuta, Ronaldo and Raul.

Del Piero joined Juve since 1993, and has been one of the team symbols ever since. After months of negotiations, he signed a new contract in June, 1999, which ties him with the bianconeri until 2003.

As for the sponsors part, Alex is often seen advertising for Adidas. He recently took part of the company's latest commercials, named "I kiss football", and his posters can be found in many optical shops, with him wearing Persol glasses.
