The final result, 2-2 was painful for Juventus and for Del Piero, who left the pitch early because of a small muscle problem. Seeing Juve playing with this intensity but not managing to take home the three points was not fun. "There is a lot regret because we played a great match," said Alex, "we administered the game well, showed some excellent football but were drawn against in the last minute." Although many said that Roma were not playing up to their usual standards, the Bianconero attacker insists that they deserved the win: "they found themselves up against a compact, focused and proud team. It is a shame that this was not enough. They were very good to take full advantage of their only scoring chances." Del Piero does not agree that the championship has now been decided: "we must continue and must start straight away by preparing for the match against Fiorentina. The last championships as well as the last few matches have shown that it takes very little to change an outcome. We still hope to win the Scudetto and do not want to consider any other objective."
