ALESSANDRO DEL Piero has
confirmed he has no desire to leave the club despite speculation over the
future of other top stars. While Zinedine Zidane, Filippo Inzaghi, David
Trezeguet and many others are rumoured to be close to moving to different
teams, Del Piero said he just tries to get on with things and detach himself
from all the paper-talk. "Well who knows, maybe in the end all of the others
will stay and I'll be the one to move, after all the world of sports is
unpredictable," he said jokingly.
"SERIOUSLY SPEAKING I will
stay at Juve. I believe in this team and I'm sure that we can still win
a lot together. I don't consider myself as the only key-player of the squad
as there are several players who form the heart and soul of this team."
It is of course only a few months ago that rumours surrounded the future
of the Italian international, but he says that is all behind him. "I never
said that I wanted to go, I just said that if I failed to get back in top
shape, it was only fair to talk about my future with the management," he
said. "Fortunately the second half of the season has been very good
for me - I finally started to play like I wanted to and I have no wish
to leave Juve."
