Del Piero spoke with the reporters and regarding the captain belt he said:
"It's a responsibility, but the bigger ones are on the field. I'll start
the season with great decision for three reasons: for the way the last
championship ended, for the changes we had, because in the last two years
I arrived second. I hope to be important and decisive for my team." On
Zidane's and Inzaghi's transfers he commented: "Due to the reasons why
they left I'd say they are gone calm. I thing the deal was good both for
the team and for the players. I'm sorry not to find them in the locker
room." Juve stronger than last season?: "I don't know, I hope it." Moggi
spoke about external causes for the assignment of the last two titles:
"I don't think so, last season we made mistakes. Two years ago, anyway
there was a strange atmosphere." On the new scheme: "I know Juve are expenting
more from me, but me too I'm expenting more from me because I want to score
more and to be part of every attacking action. I don't think we weakened."
On the coaches: "On Ancelotti, me for first I'm sorry and sad for his goodbye,
but the present is Lippi. With him we lived lot of events that we want
to repeat and we have the advantage to know him." Then an opinion on the
opponents: "AS Roma did well not ot change, AC Milan and us are stronger,
Lazio can count on Fiore and Inter Milan have the skill to rise again."
