ITALIAN coach Giovanni Trapattoni
has announced his 20-man squad for the friendly match with Japan on November
7. Roberto Baggio, 'the divine ponytail' was touted for a call-up but an
injury ruled him out of contention and saved Trapattoni making what would
have been a difficult decision on the Brescia ace.
The squad is as follows:
Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus),
Francesco Toldo (Internazionale), Valerio Bertotto (Udinese), Fabio Cannavaro
(Parma), Mark Iuliano (Juventus), Marco Materazzi (Internazionale), Alessandro
Nesta (Lazio), Francesco Coco (Barcelona), Luigi Di Biagio (Internazionale),
Angelo Di Livio (Fiorentina), Cristiano Doni (Atalanta), Stefano Fiore
(Lazio), Gennaro Gattuso (Milan), Giuseppe Pancaro (Lazio), Damiano Tommasi
(Roma), Gianluca Zambrotta (Juventus), Francesco Totti (Roma), Alessandro
Del Piero (Juventus), Marco Delvecchio (Roma), Filippo Inzaghi (Milan).
