Del Piero happy at Juve

JUVENTUS star Alessandro Del Piero has quashed spurious speculation in the Italian media suggesting he could be on his way to Manchester United or Barcelona. With the Serie A transfer talk going into overdrive, it was claimed the Italian international was being lined up for a sensational switch to Old Trafford or Camp Nou.

However, the 27-year-old was happy to put the record straight at a press conference, by declaring his intention to remain at Stadio Delle Alpi.

"There is not much to say except I am happy," said the man dubbed 'Pinturrichio' in Turin.

"My relationship with Juventus is perfect."

The Italian fans are hoping Del Piero can find his best form and lead the Azzurri to glory in this year's World Cup finals in Japan and Korea.
