JUVENTUS and Italy striker
Alessandro Del Piero has pledged to continue taking penalties for the Turin
giants despite missing from the spot in Tuesday's scoreless Champions League
draw with Deportivo La Coruna.
With 73 minutes on the clock
and the game heading for a draw Juve were awarded a penalty but Del Piero,
27, had his kick saved by keeper Francisco Molina and the Italians missed
out on an important three points.
Despite the miss the Italian
ace will have no qualms about stepping up should a penalty present itself.
"If we get another penalty
I will definitely look to take it," Del Piero told Corriere Dello Sport.
"Not getting the three points
is our fault and mine, in particular, seeing as though I missed a penalty.
"We must accept the draw
but we must not be distracted from our objective to qualify. We tried to
win and certainly did more than Deportivo."
