Lippi confirms Del Piero injury blow

Juventus boss Marcello Lippi confirmed the fears that arose ten minutes from time when Del Piero limped off the Atalanta pitch.

"Del Piero has a muscular trouble, he strained his left thigh," said Lippi after the draw Juve were held to in Bergamo.

"I think this injury will keep him out of action for more than a week, therefore I expect him to miss Italy's friendly against Portugal," added the former Napoli and Inter coach.
