The front pages of all the national dailies, sports and non-sports papers, give prominence to the Pantani case, pushing Italy's resounding victory in Bologna into the background.

Next to the shattering news which broke yesterday morning on the Giro there's also room for the national team's good win yesterday evening in Bologna and about the play which showed off the brilliant tandem Vieri-Inzaghi.

"Italy of the goal twins" writes Tuttosport which also has the news: "Juve, I'll give you Vieri, Cragnotti asks almost 100 thousand million lira (about 34 million pounds) but the Bianconeri can offer a more lucrative exchange". The Corriere dello Sport talks about Juventus's interest in Candela who admits to the Rome daily: "Inter, what about Juventus?"

The Gazzetta dello Sport has the headline " Vieri-Inzaghi, splendid!", La Repubblica denies Milan's possible interest in Alex Del Piero and talks theoretically about the possibile purchase of the Udinese midfielder Giannichedda for whom 20,000 million lira (about 6.8 million pounds) have been offered.
