First thing this morning the second group of Juventus players, fresh from their holidays, met at the Stadio Comunale in Turin for the customary medical checks. They were then taken by bus to Chatillon where they arrived at 12.30pm.

The new arrivals were: Van der Sar, Montero, Mirkovic, Davids, Henry, Zambrotta, Conte, Zidane, Del Piero, Inzaghi, Fonseca, Kovacevic. The only player missing is Sunday Oliseh, who, because of bureaucratic problems, will now join his new team-mates on Monday.

After a day's rest, the regular training programme has resumed. First up for the new arrivals are fitness tests in the gym.

Ancelotti has again changed the training programme: from now until 16 July, there will be fitness work in the morning and tactical work in the afternoon.

The second match against the Valle D'Aosta XI takes place at 6pm on Monday at the Perucca stadium and will be broadcast live on Rai 2.

In the meantime, preparations are being made for the special Juventus night on 21 July. Players, coaches and officials will be in Saint-Vincent that evening for the official presentation of the team.
