The endocrine systems contains a group of glands that gives the body its messenge from a long distance. Many of the body's functions are regulated by the endocrine system. The messengers that are given by the endocrine system are known are hormones. Hormones are chemicals that control growth, metabolism, and sexual growth.Also part of the endocrine system is the glands. There are total of 9 glands and they all inject hormones into the bloodstream, where it is filthered into organs and tissues. These are located mainly around the head, neck, chest, and abdomen section. The glands are pituitary gland, thyroid gland, thymus gland, pancreas, pineal body, adrenal gland, parathyoid gland, ovaries, and testes.
   -The pituitary gland(master gland): a important gland that's located below the brain. It sents hormone messengers directly to help growth and developement.It also indirectly regulates: labor contractions, urine production, and hormone production by other glands.
   -The pineal gland: A small cone shaped gland in the brain. This gland's function is not completely understood.  All the scientist has found out about this mysterious cell was that it produces a chemical called melatonin.
   -The thyroid/parathyroid gland: Glands that's located right below the
voicebox.These helps the body to regulate the amount of calcium in the blood, influences growth and reproduction, and converses sugar into energy.
   -The thymus gland- A gland that's a size of an orange. It is located in the back of the breastbone. It helps maintain healthy
immune system.
   -The adrenal glands: Two small glands that's located above the kidney. These produces the epineprine and norepineprine to help raise the body's blood pressure and heart rate. These also helps to convert fat and protein into sugar.
   -The pancreas: A gland that  informs the body if the
glucose(sugar) level get too high by producing more insulin. These insulin's chemical goes into the bloodstream into body cells. They cause it to open up and allowing gluose from the blood to enter body cells.
