The following assumptions have been made for this project.

• A traveling agency database management has been implemented.
• ER diagrams have been shown.
• Several tables are created using SQL and some complex queries show that the database works properly.
• Finally, SQL embedded host programming Java is used to support the function publishing on the Internet.

Nowadays, traveling by air is very common and convenient either for business or pleasure. A travel agency normally provides the services for searching schedules and booking tickets. Customers may get available information from visiting the web site of travel agencies. A travel agency manages its database to support those services.

 This project uses a traveling agency database as an example for the application of database management. In reality, traveling agency may have the following characteristics or options:

•   Traveling with Single leg or Multiple legs

•   Traveling with economy/business class

•   Traveling Single trip/Round trip

The database can be distributed or independent, in this case it is independent. The database design is implemented with some constraints:

•  Flight seat available check

•  Flight time vs book time

•  Customer credit card Authorization

 However, the database design and implementation simplifies the project to:

• Independent database design

• Simple relationship

• Simple operation based on independent database

• Using SQL to implement the database and query operation

• User interface using Java programming
