Situation:
The Blakists are going on a rampage in Solaris City. This newly formed "Solaris Home Defense League" seems to be holding them off for the moment. But everything is going to hell. We're not getting paid to stick around. Time to complete our business and move on I'm thinking. Everyone is skittish. Thought Raven was going to flip out when Wycoffe walked over to me and announced that he was going to bring Kym back. She was out helping the civillians caught in the middle of the fighting. One MASH truck and a pair of squads of Battle Armor against the worst that Solaris City had to offer. What the hell was she thinking? A quick look at the duty roster had my reply. I told Ferris to take Jake and Bruce with him. Then I'd have Frankie and Brick meet them enroute from the dig site. He saluted and was sprinting across the tarmack towards his Avatar. Tracy looked stunned. Ferris, Kaitlyn, Kym and I are old guard from the Steel Crowes. What can I say, family offers priveleges that the others haven't earned yet--sidestepping military protocol is the least of them. Hrm. Repairs on my 'Hawk are going slow. Going to have to send others out to pick up the last three 'Mechs I bought.

Love conquers all I suppose. Ferris gave the Word of Blake a serious bloody nose. Netted some good salvage as well. I was initially a little curious when they dragged back a Griffin from the Solaris Home Defense League. I can buy the fact that they got in the middle of a skirmish, but I'd like to stay out of their business as much as possible. Heard a rumor that a Battalion of the Skye Rangers are currently on planet. Hopefully they will give the Blakists fits while we conclude our business here and boost for orbit. Hm. Knock at the door. Hah! Now for the tough part of being a commander. Had to pull Kym off of Sgt. Brick when they got back to the Fortune Hunter. Turns out he fired a pair of Arrows into a building to hammer that Griffin. She's pissed about attacking a civilian target, he says that he was keeping Wycoffe from getting backstabbed. Sigh. Sometimes I miss being a lance commander.
