Iron Tigers
Current Status: Tsing Tao, Capellan Confederation

Personal Log: Maj. D. Keith

Situation:
Everyone's about to lift off in a couple of days. Tsing Tao's military assets have been smashed. The Cappies are on the run. Tyler has his stealth factory buttoned up in the holds of his dropship. And we're going to press our luck one final time before boosting for orbit. Intel has located Capellan Militia guarding an ammunition depot. Warehouses filled with Arrow IVs are a little too tempting to pass up. Seems a shame to leave them to the FedSuns military machine when we've got a hungry Demolisher here in the unit. Hit and run under cover of dark, our kind of fight.

This was the dictionary definition of a clusterf*ck. We hit the supply depot, hard. Militia vehicles started popping, but we were taking more damage than we should. When four of my Cavaliers went down, it was pretty clear that these guys weren't going to be intimidated, so we had to break their spirits if we were going to claim the prize. Seconds later, my arm gets blown off. Will make a little tougher to take down that Emperor, but won't stop us. Then the screams came over the comm channels.
"Cease fire, cease fire! Oh my god, it's a hospital! Pull back Chaffee, NOW!" That was Sgt. Lee. He was in charge of Cavalier Squad Alpha. After that, the comms went crazy with people demanding a sit rep and begging me for orders.
"Clear the channels, NOW!!" I demanded. "Lee, can you confirm?"
"Yes Sir, Warehouse Beta and I think Gamma are field hospitals. We can see an operating theater, and they're trying to evac the wounded."
Damn Capellans. Who the hell would park wounded soldiers in the middle of several tons of artillery shells? Starting a fight is pretty easy. Stopping one is much more difficult. Everyone is still hyped-up on adrenaline. You get really twitchy. Wondering if it's a trick and you're going to get jumped at any second. Minutes later (after taking a boat load of damage and dishing out none), we locked down two warehouses and convinced the Militia commander that we were interested in a cease fire. Turns out he was a pretty cool customer. Capellan line soldier who came out of retirement to help out the planetary defense. He rebuffed our offers of medical assistance, but didn't seem to bat an eye when we unloaded those plasma rifles. I figured he, like me, was thinking that this could've gone far worse than it did and he wasn't about to trade the lives of his soldiers for two warehouses of Capellan state property. As we trudged back to the dropships, noone spoke. Four troopers in critical condition. Hundreds of thousands of C-Bills worth of damage. But a relatively clear conscience. I hope guncam footage and comm channel recordings will keep us out of trouble with the MRBC. We can't leave Tsing Tao soon enough.
