                  XXI

Desert Flower awakened in extreme pain... her eyes 
fluttered open. Raven was right beside her... "Raven" 
she croaked. "Take this... we also have you isolated 
and away from the others." She handed Tiger the 
antibiotic and gave her water to wash it down with. 
"Your fever is still way too high... For a few 
minutes, everyone thought that you were gone.." She 
noted the look in Tiger's eyes, which said, that she 
had been. Raven shooed the guys out, wanting to talk 
to her alone. "What happened." Tiger, or rather Desert 
Flower told her what had happened, leaving nothing 
out. Raven nodded. "We all thought that you were going 
to cross over to be with Eric, that there was nothing 
we could do to stop you, but you are back, by your own 
free will. " Desert Flower just nodded. "I'm needed 
here, more than I am needed in the SummerLands. I will 
heal". Raven smiled. Tiger was better.. the deep 
wounds healed in her spirit. "Well there would have 
been at least one unhappy male that you would have 
left behind not to mention your friends and family." 
She said tartly. "Rest". Raven went out and spoke with 
all of them at length. "IF you want her to know how 
you feel, now is the time to tell her." They were 
stunned.. something had changed Tiger's mind, as she 
was back.

                      XXII

Santa Fe, New Mexico - 1700 
Tiger was still very weak, as they gathered around her 
to talk. Raven reminded her gently "I worry about you. 
Please don't go disappearing like that again." "I 
won't" She whispered weakly. "WE have news that isnt 
going to make you happy. Your ex husband went in... he 
has revenge on his mind" Paul stated flatly. Tiger 
paled a little. "We are here to protect you. Listen to 
Raven and do as she says." he finished. "How are the 
rest of the tribe?" she asked, still in pain. "They 
all are fine. "Raven spoke. "Tiger, we are sorry about 
your loss of both Night Fox and Laughing Fox. We all 
know how much they both meant to you." She cried as 
Raven just gave her a hug, letting her sob out all the 
pain. "I don't know whether or not I will love again 
like that, Raven... This was a dream come true. and 
now it is gone..." "maybe not forever it isn't... you 
may find love when you least expect it." She pointed 
out gently. "Also remember what you were told by Eric 
himself." Suddenly, Eric Singer leaned down and gave 
her a very gentle hug. "Don't worry Tiger-Girl... Your 
heart will be healed." "Rest now" Gene told her. She 
nodded. " Raven, Ace, Peter, Gene, Paul, Eric, Bruce, 
Vinnie, Mark... thank you for being here and 
supporting what could have been a wild goose chase. I 
am thankful for your support, and your kindness...You 
guys didn't have to do all this, but you did... All I 
can say is.... thank you..." her voice choked. "I have 
something for each of you." At a nod, Snow Moon 
brought forth things that Desert Flower had made for 
each of them. "Tiger you didn't have to do this..." I 
know.. I did it because I wanted to." she answered 
quietly. "Always a caring heart" Raven remarked. "Now 
sleep". Desert Flower closed her eyes and fell into a 
deep sleep, surrounded by people that she was proud to 
call friends.

                  XXIII

1700 New Mexico 
 
Desert Flower was deeply unhappy at the news that her 
ex husband had come in seeking revenge. She was not 
strong enough to fight off an attack by anyone. Deep 
inside, she still missed Laughing Fox. At least she 
could see her son. Raven knew what she was thinking. 
"Stay within sight of all of us at all times." A slow 
nod indicated that she would comply. The guys talked 
to her for what seemed like hours. Raven gave her 
another antibiotic and she washed it down with water. 
Eric Singer elected to stand guard over her, over 
everyone's protests. She finally fell asleep, with him 
standing guard over her. She suddenly heard the door 
slam and an unwanted voice filling the air. "There you 
are, you bitch!" She steadied herself and knew 
whatever happened, she would be fine. Kermit came over 
to the bed anger filling his eyes."You destroyed me 
when you left..Didn't give a damn about what happened 
to me. Every time I told you I had changed, you shot 
me down... now damnit you are going back with me!" "I 
will not go with you... as you have not changed. Cared 
for your position and prestige only, as well as 
wanting a bedmate and slave to abuse legally. You were 
no true husband, a husband does not tell his wife the 
things you have spoken to me, nor things done to me 
under guise of "Sleepwalking", nor does he hide an 
illness that she could catch!". Just as he grabbed her 
throat, Eric Singer raged in. With one punch, he 
knocked Kermit clear across the room. They all had 
heard, to her regret. She could not stop the fighting. 
She tried to rise, but was quickly pinned down by 
Paul. "Stay still! It's all right... He cant hurt you 
again." Gene pulled Eric off Desert Flower's ex 
husband. Eric was beyond fighting mad! Snow Moon 
called an immediate Council as Kermit was brought 
before them. "You have exactly two choices. Death or 
banishment." she told him coldly. "What the Council 
decision will be, is what the warriors will follow." 
Banishment, with a twist. Raven went and got Alex, who 
took Kermit back with him, with no memory of his ex 
wife. She was beyond discouraged at this point, she 
wanted to give up, but she remembered the promise that 
she had made Laughing Fox. Dynasty, Raven, Shandi and 
Des tried talking to her. She gave them the answers 
now that they needed to hear.. "damn it... she is 
giving up.. " Raven swore.. now what! They couldn't 
Call Eric Carr back from the dead.

                   XXIV

1700s New Mexico 
 
Desert Flower began to think, hard. She knew that she 
had met Eric Carr before, and that she could possibly 
find him again. She knew about 1800 Asia and the time 
of the Shoguns. She thought long and hard about 
this..Then she decided to go find him. She remembered 
and Felt that he was there...Late that night, evading 
everyone.. she began the preparations to travel to 
Feudal Japan. She knew that she wasn't well, but her 
heart screamed for her to find him... her soul cried 
for him. As the sun rose, she triggered the Portal 
again.. 
 
"She went after him?!" Eric exploded..."I am going to 
have to tie her down!!! "Why for?" Paul asked as they 
prepared to try and find her again. "None of your 
business!" Eric exploded again. Paul and the others 
knew. Raven whispered an ancient prayer for protection 
for Tiger, as they went searching for her again. 
 
1800 Japan- Time Of The Shoguns 
Little Sun was disoriented. She did not know who she 
was, nor where. A Samurai approached her cautiously, 
then claimed her as his. Her name was now Little Sun. 
She was to be his...He stopped stunned.. It was Tiger! 
She had found him again! His heart sang, as he 
realized that she had made another time jump. But he 
also knew that when she regained her full memory, that 
she would do nothing to change the timeline. He had to 
protect her from harm.. He also knew that the guys 
were looking for both of them. He brought her back to 
the Shogun and claimed her as his, as was fitting for 
a Bodyguard of the Shogun! He laid her down upon the 
canopied bed, after making sure they were alone. 
"Tiger.....Tiger come back to me... Its 
Eric....Beautiful.. please." Her eyes fluttered open 
and she fell back in a dead faint.

1800 Japan 
 
Sai Kitsune summoned a healer quickly, as he realized 
that Sai Tora,as she was now called, was in dire need 
of medical help. The female healer came running and 
began tending to Sai Tora. "She is deeply exhuasted 
and has been ill for some time..It will take time for 
her to heal." After the healer left, he sat down and 
called her again. Her eyes fluttered open again... now 
she knew where she was.."Sai..." he silenced her with 
a kiss. "You are going to make a bunch of people upset 
with you....Especially Singer.." She winced. "I know 
why you came for me, but he wants you too.." That left 
her a little shocked and explained quite a bit about 
Singer's behaviour towards her. "You are not to get up 
for a while..." she moaned and he realized the portal 
had been reactivated. "Where..." She told him. He was 
waiting for them when they arrived. He had each one 
disguise themselves under face paint. Hiding them 
within the Palace grounds, he sought out Tiger again. 
They sat and talked for a long time, enjoying each 
others company.
