Lulu was beloved by her mommy Andrea, but an unethical bird-sitter lost Lulu the one and only time they ever had to go away and leave her somewhere. If you find a good bird-sitter, it's worth paying to ensure your baby is returned to you safely and unharmed. |
Make sure your bird is banded or microchipped, and both you and your vet have the numbers recorded. |

Junior the harlequin macaw is the apple of his mommy and daddy's eyes, although they do love their entire flock. Few people have the skills and knowledge to hand-raise baby macaws, but you can tell Junior was VERY well fed! That's him on the left, as well as on the right. |

Ziyal, right, was badly abused before she was rescued. One wing and her breastbone were broken, and her feet had been badly burned; she had chewed her feathers to the point of self mutilation. Now she is recovering and rediscovering love with Rocky, pictured below, as well as the family who has rescued both of them. Rocky was neglected, but thankfully not as abused as Ziyal.
