Fencing has been featured in every modern Olympic Games stating in 1896. The fencer has to try to hit his opponent to score points while trying to avoid being hit himself. There are three different kinds of weapons used: the foil, eppe and sabre. The target areas change with the different weapons. There are six different areas of fencing in the Games:
For individual bouts, there are three rounds of three minuets. The winner in the player who scores fifteen hits or the most hit in the bout, on his opponent. If they are tied they play for one extra minuet and who ever hits first, wins.
A team bout is almost the same except that a team has three fencers and The team has to get 45 points on tho opposing team to win.
