Canada has been blessed by able and dynamic Prime Ministers who have developed a vision for our nation and its place in the world. Their public careers have all had a profound impact of our history and evolution as a country. In recognition of this contribution, all of our deceased prime ministers have been designated as persons of national significance. In addition, to acknowledge their important role, the Government of Canada recently announced a program designed to protect and honor the gravesites of our Canadian prime ministers.
