Dictionary definitions:
ASCII:
American Standard Code for Information Interchange; a code for information exchange between computers made by different companies; a string of 7 binary digits represents each character; used in most microcomputers.
Attribute:
A quality or characteristic inherent in or ascribed to someone or something.
Spam:
Causing massive amounts of media to be sent to a group or single person. Example: Email bombs (filling up someone's inbox with useless emails in hopes of crashing their email program).
Hexadecimal:
Of, relating to, or based on the number 16: the hexadecimal number system.
FTP:
File Transfer Protocol.
Font:
A particular format of text used to distinguish between texts or to embelish text.
ISP:
Internet Service Provider; A service which provides users with internet access.
Browser:
A program used to look at webpages made with HTML.
HTML:
Hyper-Text Markup Language; The programming language used to create webpages.
File Extension:
The (usually) three letter long extension at the end of a filename. It defines what type of file it is, and tells the computer what program to use to read it. Example: Banana.jpg is a JPEG picture file.
