As some of you may have noticed, I have been very inactive the last two months. I have been very busy, and unfortunately the basin has felt it severly. So, during this time, please send no more applications. I've gotten a volunteer to help me get the basin back on its feet again, hopefully relatively soon. For those of you who have sent applications in the period of my inactiveness, don't worry, I have them. I have ALL of them. I'll be sorting through them and getting them out as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

Since legendary times, the giant crater known as Sanctuary Basin has been home to an abundance of wild, magical creatures, for the great mountain range witch forms the edges were too high for any ordinary human to climb. But sadly, for the last century and a half, poachers and bounty hunters have been finding mountain passes and other ways into the basin, and killing off all of the sacred animals that once thrived here. Finally, just a few years ago, a courageous band of humans and non-humans were able to keep the hunters away and establish Sanctuary Basin as a Magical Creature Reserve. However, by that time, it was almost too late. Most of the animals were gone, and only a few could occasionally be spotted roaming the lands or soaring in the skies above the basin. Nearly all of them had been wiped out, including many nesting mothers. It's a well known fact that the eggs of the magical creatures of Sanctuary Basin, if orphaned, will not hatch until a willing caretaker comes along. The preservationists decided to search out the elusive eggs, and perhaps even whole clutches, which must be scattered all over the basin in safe, hidden spots. Search parties are sent out every week in an attempt to recover these abandoned eggs, and just found a third clutch of orphaned eggs on their last expedition.
