Big Electronic Music
MUTEK @ MEXICO
Festival FRIDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY Schedule below

I was talking with Michael earlier about Tere maybe coming back, and we went on from there.

Hablaba con Miguel sobre la posibilidad que Teresa va regresar, y luego fuimos desde allá.

--- This is the end of the year when we wonder
How is this year December different from any other?

-- This end of the year we wonder what an
enemy combatant
is.

- Yeah.  To military language the friend of my enemy
or the enemy of my enemy
makes a world of difference.

End of year difference.  Remember how the professors made us regurgitate the difference between difference and diferance ?

Heh yeah.  And now look at us... ah, sweet cargo/carga de educación ¿no?

Sí.

So it's December 4th and counting tick tik tok

Uh huh.  Once again the middle east
and Christmas tangle themselves
together.

You know one of the kings at least one probably came from around Bagdad would be built somewhere later.

So here come the kings, crossing the desert toward Jerusalem and the nativity scene.

Sure you wanta say that?  Hardly drawn any of it yet... tick tic tok.

Meanwhile back in Tijuana, you wanna walk to CECUT tomorrow for the opening concert of MUTEK?

Sure.  If it ain't raining.

Nah not tomorrow.  But Sunday's show is outdoors on the esplanade -- where you wrote VIVENCIAS MONUMENTALES remember?

Yeah, but I only wrote one or two lines, really nothing there, all done later. That's why I wrote a drop of rain splattered on my notebook and the poet writes nothing or at least I wrote something like that.  But yeah, I get you.  Sunday is the danger of rain on all the musicians' computers and sound generators and delicate turntables warpa warpa whizzz whizz spin that disc back and forth

Aye pobre vinil....

Yo, Mikey, I want to change the subject...

Shoot.

Tengo ganas de hacer que January is about calendars. Especially the Aztec eh?

Hmmmm.  Once again biting off more than we can chew?

Don't cliché me.  I was reading the Aztec calendar there in the passageway off Revolution... you know the one I mean?

Sure, that big copy painted with red and black and whatever.  Three rings of symbols circling around the central core.  Based on the power of 20x20x20 or what is that, 8000?

Dude you been reading up.

Just that article you gave me.

Huh.

But get back to December, Dano.  Look, here comes a camel.

Oh yeah, Mikey, cute.  All the way from China across the Gobi desert toward Jerusalem?

But Dano, is it gonna be just the three of the kings alone, each on a camel?  Don't you think they would have an entourage?  Cooks, maids, handlers, guards, baggage people, all that?  They were kings, weren't they?  Or just wise men who knew how to get out from under all that huge crowd of courtly lords and ladies?

Mikey Mikey we're talking myth here, not well not whatever that entourage stuff was all about.  No, they travelled alone, and they are travelling alone, right now, this last moment before winter is born a little God Son of no earthly father to a woman Mother Of Heaven hidden in a cave which the evil one cannot find, eh?

Uh, yeah, okay.

So they come alone, just the three of them.  Incognito.  Or, maybe I should say "in-king-nito" or incogreyto para nuestros amigos hispanohablantes.
