Messiah, Mahatma or a Misfit?

Francois Gautier writing for Rediff laments about Mahatma Gandhi image turned into some kind of a freak show. That is so true. This great man of peace and genuinely a superior individual is roundly blasted by fake, phony, sometimes funny, like Pradip Parekh who denigrated Mahatma Gandhi, I should have realized there and then that Pradip Parekh is not a Gujarati. Not only Mahatma Gandhi made Gujarat proud for what he brought them from his heart but he made the whole country proud, nay, the whole world proud. Heinous Hindus like Pradip Parekh shit buckets d not realize the kindness of Mahatma Gandhi's heart forever bleeding for the lasting peace between Hindus and Muslims and between Brahmins and Shudras. He sacrificed better part of his fruitful life going to jail and in his endless travels and travails to keep the fighting Hindus and Muslims at bay.

Muslims of Pakistan despise Mahatma Gandhi which is an aberrant behavior as Mahatma Gandhi's final capitulation over Pakistan's creation is the reason Pakistan exists. Mahatma Gandhi never despised Mohammed Ali Jinnah. They were best of buddies, each respecting the other and devoted to each other's cause. Not the separatist cause but cause of understanding where the need for separation comes.

Jinha's sad remark after he got what his followers wanted so badly, a new nation but a poor nation with no soul, just a geographical boundary and an international sanction to be called a nation. The oft repeated charge that Mahatma Gandhi favored Muslims, sort of mollycoddled them over Hindus is equally preposterous. The last straw of handing over common funds in the coffers held at Delhi, some fifty million rupees was Mahatma Gandhi's Gesture towards the new nation struggling against all odds and finding the Emptiness, a void where they stuffed all their fierce battle cries before the partition.

When RSS decided to assassinate Mahatma Gandhi over this incredible issue of parting with common funds Mahatma Gandhi, weary and tired over constant bickering of remaining Muslims and blood thirsty Hindus as in Noakhali, Calcutta stabbing each other over trifle issues, his lifelong ambition to bring peace to this subcontinent was almost dried out. The power equation shifted from his hut to the majestic palaces erected and left for the British hating Hindus.

Mahatma Gandhi's moral voice was heard only by bunch of star gazing old timers attending his evening prayer meetings. The attention was focussed on Jawaharlal Nehru whose ideas and ideals did not jive with those of Mahatma Gandhi. Jawaharlal Nehru did not exactly take orders from Mahatma Gandhi as my brother Atal takes from the devil's dormitory at Zandewalan. The cast was ready to bury Mahatma Gandhi as an old man, a holy and revered man of not much power left to alter the things in free India. Many a times I wonder if the blame of Mahatma Gandhi ought to be spread between Savarkar and Golwalkar devil's disciples and their trained and brainwashed assassins equally with Nehru's lackadaisical behavior for Mahatma Gandhi's security. It is true that Morarji Desai, a true Gandhian was equally negligent in assessing the dangerous plot being hatched by the RSS goons right under his nose.

The best of intelligence on RSS nefarious activities was available to the police commissioner. It just did not click. Nobody in right mind would commit such heinous crime was the feeling among the law enforcement setup under Morarji Desai. Mahatma Gandhi in a true spirit of humility did not allow any armed detail at his prayer meeting, open to all. That does not mean that plain clothes observant officers of Delhi police could not watch the proceedings from distant and report any suspect acts or actions. It was the second time that Godse-Apte could succeed. The first attempt was totally ignored. No bells rang in Delhi or Bombay. If there was enough alertness present at Bombay, the RSS jalopy would not have reached to Delhi.

As I said many times, Gandhi assassination was totally uncalled for for number of reasons. His power base was taken away by Jawaharlal Nehru and the new policies came from Nehru's mouth and not from Gandhi's. Gandhi's mental frame was such that he would not have made any difference what Nehru did do or did not do. He would have lived few more years as a broken hearted senior citizen and died of natural causes. Old men have that kind of tendency to die off without rhyme or reason.

Sid Harth..."What bravery the RSS cabal displayed in killing that old man Waiting his turn to turn over his life and be with his god? The bastard Brahmins have never ever replied to this query. Why bother killing Gandhi?"
