I have this nagging feeling when I see Hindu hoodlums berating one freedom fighters as terrorists and another similar group of freedom fighters as, guess what, freedom fighters.
Armed struggle for freedom is not uncommon. Even percieved freedom fighting using arms is sanctioned as freedom fighting. During freedom fighting in India, peaceful protests turned violent and people killed as a result. One such massacre at Jalianwalla Baug is celebrated as an epitome of British inhumanity towards Indians. British has made the Calcutta famous for quite different reasons. It was British capital for some time before British took over Mughal empire in Delhi. British celebrate the British massacre at the hands of Hindus in Calcutta.
Subhash Chandra Bose wanted an armed revolution as against Mahatma Gandhi's peaceful, non violent struggle. He had his way. Bose founded Azad Hind Sena, that saw lot of action in the second world war. Hindu fanatics also engaged in petty armed struggle by selectively killing major British civil servants and such. One such Hindu terrorist who was found guilty of treason and sent to Andaman jail to serve life
imprisonment, hard labor as a result, your Marathi terrorist, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. He is considered as father of Hinduttva, the current crazy slogan made a centerpiece of Hindu terrorism of political kind.
Terrorists are terrorists and their usage of weapons and their threatening, intimidating, causing disruption or disobeying laws of the land are all bad. Democracy provides alternate solutions and such solutions are preferred. Muslim freedom fighters in Kashmir, with little or lot of help from neighboring Muslim countries of Pakistan, Afghanistan are waging a bloody war against Hindu usurpers of their land, Kashmir.
Compare this identical situation in Sri Lanka, where Hindu terrorists are doing exact same thing, fighting their rights to be treated equally with majority Buddhist Sinhala people and their government. These terrorists also get much sympathy from Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu
government and private parties also train these terrorists in India and supply them with moral support.
Why is then Hindus never bother to learn this simple lesson that anyone who is mistreated could become a terrorist or a nation of terrorists. Why are Hindu rascals, rogues and ruffians after Kashmiri Muslims only?
