I try to keep my head up
And keep a smile on my face,
But it's hard to do
And hide the pain without a trace.
I try to hold back the tears
And keep my spirits up,
But it hurts so bad inside
That I want to just give up.
I can't believe it's over;
I can't believe it's done.
I tried so hard to fight it,
But the end just had to come.
It started out so little,
But grew into so much more.
At first it was so simple,
But became everything I'd hoped for.
You say that you still love me
And time is all you need,
