Little Things
by Candice E. Yarbrough
You may not have noticed
But I'm rather observant.
My eyes are open wide;
I'm far from ignorant.

I emphasize on things like
You calling me to say
"I love you a lot" or
"I missed you today."

The little things, my dear
Are much bigger by far--
Dedicating a love song
Or opening the car.

It's the little things
That money can't buy,
Like hugs and kisses
Under a starlit sky.

Little things aren't so small
When you whisper goodnight
Or wrap me in your arms
To hold me so tight.

What makes my world go 'round?
It's the little things you do
Like dropping by just to say
"I love you."

But it doesn't really matter
How big or small.
Every sweet thing you do,
I love it all.
