Drowning deep in my sea of loathing,
broken your searvent I kneel,
It seems whats left of the human side is changing in me,
Looking at my own reflection,
When suddenly it changes,
Violently it changes,
There is no turning back now,
Youve woken up the demon in me....

"The Sickness" by Disturbed

(Its a brisk winter day on the streets of Philadelphia. The rustle of the busy city during rush hour is a scene rarely seen in most suburban cities. As we look through the crowd we can see one of its native sons walking through the crowd talking on a cell phone. It is none other than the Dirty South Champion Jack Hendrix.)

HENDRIX: What do you mean we got fined? I told you not to admit these underage kids and this is the third time it has happened.

(There is a pause....)

HENDRIX: Well...I am tired of the excuses. Your ass is fired. And I want you out of there by the time I get there. Good-bye.

(Hendrix hangs up his cell and continues walking through the streets he once owned when he was younger. Thoughts of his homeless youth go through his mind. Running with his buddies as they play Warrior. Going down to the local park and playing football and baseball. But he also thinks of the days he was scavaging for food in the dumpsters and begging the store owners for a scrap of food. A youth better forgotten.

But he looks what he has now and it brings him back to life. He has an up and coming career that he can depend on. He runs a chain of nightclubs that are making money hand over fist. He has nothing to worry about. But he still feels that urge to come home and visit his past.

Hendrix stops in front of a bar that he used to visit frequently....O'Grady's Pub. He figures he will stop in for a drink and see what his friend Tim is up to.

O'Grady's is the first place Hendrix came too when he was old enough to drink...or at least when he wanted a drink. The owner and bartender Tim was a guy that Hendrix used to tell all his troubles too. Sounds stereotypical for a bartender but Hendrix and Tim have become good friends over the years.

Hendrix walks in the door and looks around. The chairs are still up on the tables. He notices Tim in a corner booth working on the books from the previous night. He walks up to him...)

HENDRIX: Damn youre an ugly bastard.

TIM: Not as ugly as your mama.

(The two guys exchange pleasentries and Hendrix takes a seat. Tim goes behind the bar and pours Hendrix a beer. He comes back over the table and sits across from his old friend.)

HENDRIX: Whats been happening man. Havent been around here in a long fucking time.

TIM: Well Jack I aint gonna lie to ya....O'Grady's may not be around too much longer. The government has some develomental project going on and I was a corperate casualty.

HENDRIX: What? I wondered why it was this dead but I never thought it was because of that.

(Hendrix lights up a cigarette and takes a big drag. He takes a drink of his beer while Tim keeps explaining...)

TIM: Yeah. They are making some kind of government office building and they conveniently chose my block. So everyone around here is gonna lose their homes and businesses. So I am stuck selling out.

HENDRIX: Is there anything I can do to stop this? Im sure that I could do something to help.

TIM: Nah. Its too late. Everything is in motion. Im closing down on Sunday. There is nothing that anyone can do now.

(A smile comes across Hendrix face)

TIM: I am glad you are enjoyin this. I see your place is still booming. Must be nice.

HENDRIX: No...I am not happy for what happened to ya but I do have some good news.

TIM: Well I could use some right now.

(Hendrix takes out his cell phone and calls his nightclub..."The Philadelphia eXperience".)

HENDRIX: Hey...I have a new person to run the eXperience. So tell Jo-Jo to get his shit out by Sunday...or maybe Ill come down and tell him myself later. Cya.

(Hendrix hangs up and goes back to get another beer. Then he comes back and takes a seat.)

HENDRIX: Its done. You are now the new manager of the Philly eXperience.

TIM: Really? It would have been nice if you would have asked me first.

HENDRIX: Well if you dont want it.....

TIM: Hell yeah I want it. Ill be able to keep my money from this dump and maybe get a house. Plus be making money from you. Hell..I will take it in a hearbeat.

HENDRIX: Thats good. Now get your coat and we will go down and show you the place.

(Hendrix and Tim grab their coats and head out the door and down the street to the eXperience. As they walk down the street they look over and notice some familiar faces out on a local basketball court. They both walk over and watch the men play basketball. One of the men stops playing and the rest follow. They walk over to the fence and....)

MAN: Holy shit. The Big Nasty has decided to grace us with his presence.

(These are some of Hendrix's childhood friends. Rick, TJ and Matt where the guys that Hendrix used to hang out with when he walked the streets. These are the kind of guys that will have your back through your whole life. Rick is a college student...TJ is an auto mechanic and then there is Matt...still "between jobs".

They all exchange handshakes and walk over to the bleachers. They take a seat and begin talking...)

HENDRIX: I see all your sorry asses are still livin here.

RICK: Yeah. Some of us poor folk gotta live in the slums while the big rassler guy is out there experiencing the world.

TJ: Yeah...must be nice. We have to work for a living. Well all except for Matt.

MATT: Fuck you T. Ill find a job. I had a good job until this government project came through.

HENDRIX: Seems like that is goin around.

(All of them shake their head...)

RICK: Yeah. I heard about O'Grady's Tim...sorry about that man.

TIM: No problem Rick. I got another job offer.

HENDRIX: Yeah. Youre looking at the new manager of the Philly eXperience.

MATT: Damn. Why dont you hook me up too Jack.

HENDRIX: Doin what?

MATT: I have a bartending license. Have any openings? I have some experience.

HENDRIX: Ill see what I have and I will get back to ya on that.

MATT: Oh I see...youll give Tim a job but not me.

(Rick slaps Matt in the back of the head.)

RICK: What are you crying about. You live with your mom and dad. You are rich. You pay no bills. Hell...Ill trade ya anyday.

(Everyone laughs as Matt hides his head.)

HENDRIX: Well boys...we got some business to take care of right now but I wanna catch up. So I will put your name on the list at the eXperience and you come down tonight. We will go back in my private room and shoot some pool and get slizzard.

(They all agree and say their goodbyes. Hendrix and Tim continue down the street.

They stop in at the bakery and grab some food and coffee and head back out. About an hour later they reach the eXperience. Hendrix walks in the door and is immediately greeted by the doorman. He tells the doorman to get him some drinks and get the waitress to bring them back to the office. The doorman says there is someone in the back that wanted to see him. He walks back and sitting in his office chair is IcE. Also in the room is Ace who is sitting on Hendrix's leather couch....)

ICE: Where the hell you been? We have been here for an hour. Ace over there has went through about a 12-pack of Bolt 45.

ACE: And I am feeling fine.

HENDRIX: Well I didnt even know you were coming. What are you doin here anyway?

(Ice gets out of the chair and Hendrix takes a seat. Ice takes a seat beside Ace and Tim sits in the chair facing Hendrix's desk. Hendrix takes a cigar out of his humador and lights it up.)

HENDRIX: Tim..this is IcE and Ace. Guys...this is my new bar manager.

ICE: Yeah..I think I met your old one. He was pissed.

HENDRIX: Yeah...anyway. What are you two doin here? Im on vacation until Friday.

ACE: Beer is empty...be right back.

(Ace goes out front to get another beer.)

ICE: Well...we wanted to see how our Dirty South champ was doin and wanted to get you caught up. It seems that some people in the DRWF think that you are not pulling your weight...namely The Hen.

HENDRIX: Where the fuck does he get off sayin this shit?

(The waitress brings in the drinks and is closely followed by Ace.)

ICE: Well he thinks that you arent defending your title enough. He seems to think that you dont deserve it.

(Hendrix slams his bottle on his desk.)

HENDRIX: I dont deserve it? I busted my ass to get that title. Where does he get off saying anything. Hes a joke around the DRWF. He aint noone to be sayin anything about anyone.

ACE: Yeah man. He is really talking shit about you.

(Hendrix stands up and begins pacing>

HENDRIX: Well let him talk shit. Thats the only thing he has. When it comes to talent he know he doesnt compare to me. So I will let him talk all he wants but he is gonna find out why I am the Dirty South champ and he will realize that it was a huge mistake to jack his jaw about me. I guarantee that. Now is that the only thing you have to say?

ICE: Well we wanted to tell you that Nate is walking around with your belt and he still claims its his. You gonna do anything about this or what? You arent making CBK look too good.

(Hendrix stops and glares at Ice.)

HENDRIX: You think I dont know this? Its not making me look good either. Hell..I could have taken that title from him anytime. But I want to wait until Hatred. Just taking it from him isnt good enough. I want him to bleed for stealing my property. I want his blood all over my belt. I want that illiterate motherfucker to be an example of what happens when you fuck with me. Its not too long from now...and I have waited this long so I can wait a little longer.

ICE: OK. As long as you know what you are doin. Besides...I needed an excuse to come and get some free beer.

HENDRIX: Ahh..I see. Well theres plenty of it to go around.

(The 4 men continue drinking and talking. But the thoughts of Nasty Nate and The Hen still go through Hendrix's mind. But he knows he has to take care of it and end all of it forever. First Hen then the annihalation of Nasty Nate. All in due time.)
