TMW03 The ackdetector

TMW03 Adjustment procedure.

Priror to this adjustment, make shure you are able to run a locomotive.
Connect the service track directly to a booster, without a relay card.
Put a locomotive on the service track.
Adjust the two pots fully clockwise.
Enter Service mode.
Press "t" on the keyboard to start an Acknolage test.
Now one of four cases will happen.

1. You see a line in the console window saying

Ack recieved 1
Ack recieved 2
Ack recieved 3
Ack recieved 4
and so on and the locomotive "jumps" (motor starts for a short, short time) for every ack.

2. Same as above but the locomotive does not "jump".

3. You only see one line with an ack and the locomotive jumps once.

4. You only see one line with an ack, and the locomotive does not jump.

Case one is OK. This is what you should have when evrything works.

Case two is when the detector detects an ack when there should not be one. You have to adjust the pots in small steps counter clock wise untill you have case one.

Case three is when the detector fails to detect an ack. Check that you have the pots set fully clockwise. If they are, you have probably a faulty ackdetector.

Case four can happen if the decoder does not support acknolage. Try another decoder type.
