    Type It With SignWriter
  • By the Deaf Action Committee for Sign Writing
  • SignWriter is a word processor that allows you to write the movements of any signed language in the world. It includes a built-in dictionary of more than 3,000 signs. It can emulate hand shapes and six contact symbols: touch, grasp, in-between, strike, brush, and rub. Arrows bring the words to life, and the program's word wrap method does not require a return at the end of lines. A keyboard template and set of grammar rules are included to assist you in learning the symbols and their meanings. You can even add your own words to the dictionary with the editing feature. SignWriter files can be exported to other programs as PCX graphics files, and SignWriter supports. SignWriter demo is free / donationware. SignWriter is available for download at the PC Magazine web site [below]. To dowload a copy, click on the buttom at the top right margine, below the banner.
