MICROSOFT PRODUCT MANUALS
Free On The Web
Text By: SuperAdaptoid
Microsoft Product Manuals are now available at The Microsoft Web Site.
Until now these e-text manuals were distributed through Recordings For The Blind And Dyslexic [RFBD].
Many of the product manuals that Microsoft has distributed through RFBD are now available to the general public directly from the Microsoft web site.
Product Documentation in Accessible Format:
The documentation for many Microsoft products is available in a veriety of formats to make them more accessible.
Most information on using a specific product is available through the Windows Help System that is part of the Windows operating systems.
Some products also include their full printed documents on the CD-ROM that comes with the package.
For other products, documentation is available separately as ASCII text files, [or on audio tape from RFBD].
You can download some of these titles from this Web site, or order them by phone, fax, or mail.

Microsoft intends to include electronic accessible documentation with every product, either on the product CD-Rom or for download over the Internet.
Their goal is to make the standard electronic documentation fully accessible, so there is no need for a special version, no delays, and no extra cost for customers with low -to- no vision.
Titles Available For Download:
The following titles were prepared for Microsoft by Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic [RFBD].
Each package contains one or more titles as ASCII text files.
Notations have been inserted to indicate paragraph breaks, headings, illustrations, tables, and other things that might be difficult to recognize by blind and low vision users.
