AiSquared has released their version of ZoomText Xtra. A new product of AiSquared for people with low vision.

ZoomText Xtra will provide graduated levels of access for people with variable low vision. ZoomText Xtra includes two levels:

ZOOMTEXT LEVEL 1:

Screen Magnification. In ZoomText Xtra you can magnify the contents of windows in MS Windows 3.1x and MS Windows 95, from 2 up to 16 times.

Nearly everything can be configured in ZoomText Xtra. Colors, magnification, tracking, smoothness of text, etc.

ZOOMTEXT LEVEL 2:

Screen Reading and Magnification. Level 2 includes level 1 plus screen reading. Screen reading means that every Windows menu, control, mesaage etc, is spoken by ZoomText Xtra.

For Windows 95 ZoomText Xtra has its' own Text-To-Speech engine. The only thing you need to run level 2 is a standard sound blaster card in Windows 95.

For Windows 3.1+ you need a speech synthesizer.

The DocReader in ZoomText Xtra. DocReader captures texts from document and scrolls the text smoothly over the screen, so it is easier to read and follow text with low vision. Font type, font size, magnification, speed, speech, volume etc. are configurable in DocReader.

Zoomtext Xtra interfaces with Speech Recognition, Command, Control, and Dictation [VOILA Technology, VerbalEase; Kurzweil VOICE for Windows, DragonDictate for Windows.
