the best tank museums that i have visited, the museum used to be situated at the cavalry barracks in samuar, loire valley. it has now moved to a place about 5 miles away but well signposted and easy to find. here are a selection of photographs.

horse drawn carts were the major form of transport for the german army in the first world war, and believe it or not the second world war as well.

a russian t34. these tanks were succesful because they had wider tracks than the german tanks and didn't get bogged down on the russian steppes.

the dukw is an amphibious vehicle and was an integral part of the success of the d day landings, and a little recognised vehicle for the major part it played in ww2 with the allied armies.
