Squaresoft News

News (okay, a few rumors, too) regarding Squaresoft's releases.
Upcoming:
FF9 Japan - 9/00 (that soon?!)
Final Fantasy Movie - Mid '01 (that far away? *sigh*)
Chrono Cross, sequel to Chrono Trigger - ??

Chocobo Adventure, aka Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon 2: You may ask, "Where's 1?" It didn't make it to the US, if you're wondering. Ah, well. It was no Final Fantasy anyway. Chocobo Racing, with many of the same characters, has also been released (both titles are for Playstation).

Remember FFVIII's Chocobo World that you couldn't have because you don't have a PocketStation? Download the PC demo of Chocobo World here.

Final Fantasy Anthologies! 5 and 6 have been remade for the Playstation. They have somewhat improved graphics and sound, and were released in the US! (Europe, too, but I hear they re-did some of the dialogue, which messed it up some.)

Final Fantasy 8 is out. You can play it on your Playstation or computer. Other less-than-recent PSX releases include Bushido Blade 2 and Ehrgeiz.

Secret of Mana 2 (Seiken Detensu 3) is not planned for release in the US, but in Japan it is already available for the Super Famicom (US = SNES). This is really old news, but it still burns me up.
