General Building and Ideas

Always remember to build slow so you don't run out of money. You must also remember that everything you build also effects the environment. Now this is for those who already know the basics. If you need the basics you can always check your instruction manual. Please read the following for the real help.

Building and the Environment

You should get a set corps of agents that you like and work good in a group. That corps should include all the skills and you might want two people with some of the more needed skills. After you set a corps you will want to set up this corps at the beginning of every scenario. Fire the worthless and hire the helpful right away. After you've got this done you should train the most used agents, so they are better and quicker.

Agents

Always remember to build slow so you don't run out of money. You must also remember that everything you build also effects the environment. Now this is for those who already know the basics. Tourism

This will probably be the main source of your income. You must have ferries and airports to let the tourists come and hotels and attractions to keep them happy. Always make sure that you have enough room to expand your airports and to build attractions and hotels close to the ferries and airports. You must remember to build and expand hotels and attractions until there are always a few vacancies. You can't forget to raise the quallity too. If you forget the competitors will get all the customers. You can also build hotels near the beach and get a water resort, too!!

Resources

You'll find many natural resources on your islands. Many you can use and some are to be used for exporting. First you must find the resources. Trees are easy to find and are needed to build, but I'll talk mainly about the other resources. You should go to the 2-D map and look for the resource you need. After the colors come up you should send a construction agent to the place and have them build a mine (r whatever). After that it's pretty easy, but you must remember most mines will run dry.

Importing and Exporting

These to methods are used often. You must import whenever you need something that you don't have or need fast. You must go to a factory that makes that product and import it. If you're running out of money or don't need something you can always export it. If you have more than you need you can always use a warehouse, but if it's full you should export. You export the same way as importing and for both tasks you'll need an industrial agent.

Villages

The villages are the main source of food on your island and also provide the unskilled labor. You must keep them happy and efficient to be successful. You must train them a lot to get major food production and labor. But if you use to much trained labor food production will decrease and the islands overall population might be hurt. You can't forget about the food production because that determines how much your islands population will grow. If you get enough food they will grow and if it gets to ??? people you'll have a town.

Towns

In towns you must worry about education, recreation, health, and spirituality. You must construct the needed buildings to improve these. Towns are mainly just a step between villages and cities and nothing else.

Cities

Now here is the urban jungle. You'll need a power plant and 8,000 people to create this wonder. To keep them happy you'll have to worry about education, recreation, health, spirituality, and consumer goods. Now they want there cars and furniture so they can lead an easier life. Now you must also worry about food. You'll have to majorly increase food production with that many people. There is an advantage to a city though. With a city you can get skilled labor. You need the skilled labor to make many things and for wardens. These skilled workers are needed for a successful island.
