The Birthday Suit Patch
Since the Birthday Suit has been out, Memento and I have been receiving different comments and questions from those of you who have downloaded the patch. The most common one that I've gotten is, "This patch sucks! Why are all the cats female?" You see, the Player characters (the full body characters) are all unisex, meaning that if your character is either male or female, it will use the same character as those of the opposite gender. The only thing showing the different genders is the portraits.
Below is a picture of the cat files. All of these put together make the figures you see walking around in Furcadia. There is only one of these for each species, not one for each gender. If I would have made half into males and the other half females, you would change genders every time you moved.

Because each gender uses the same player character, I could not make separate genders for each species in the nudist patch. It was not just a mistake, and I was not being lazy, it just couldn't be done. Believe me, if I could have found a way to have both genders I would have made it that way. I was not about to make these characters unisex either, after all, if you want unisex then you should use the rodents in this patch, they're hermaphrodites. So, until Felorin makes both genders for the player characters, there was only one solution to this, and that was to separate the genders into the different species. So, I transformed all the cats in females; the dogs and horses to males; and to be fair to all the transvestites out these, the rodents to hermaphrodites.
As for the portraits: Because the species have only one gender, I changed the portraits to come up as the same gender of the player character. No matter what your original gender is, the only way to become the gender you want is to switch species. This was not an error I made, I did this because if you were to click on a cat that appeared female and saw a male portrait, it just wouldn't look right.
I just figured that everyone could change species to match their gender. But if you must be stubborn, the simplest thing to do would be to overwrite the portrait file with some other portrait patched. They will be clothed, but at least you'll be able to tell what gender it is.
