"Come on, let´s take a break." A worker Reploid said to his partner while they were digging in the surround of the former Maverick Hunter Headquarters. "We´re not going to find anything outstanding. All the Hunters had retired because the Mavericks had stopped attacking the city. What is Dr. Joltz expecting to find in the surroundings of this ancient building?"

"Well," Dr. Joltz arrived in his personal transporter. "Mainly, I expect to find the rests of Dr. Cain´s laboratory in HQ. I know that, besides the lab he had in HQ, he had a part of the lab hid to everybody in HQ, except to X and Zero." Dr. Joltz walked away. "I´ll install a mobile house to stay tonight. You´ll continue your work tomorrow."

"Right Doc." One of the Reploids answered. "Ok, let´s get some sleep." The Reploid KA-129 let his spike fall down and it hit the ground, producing a metalic sound. "What the...?"

"I think you found it." Dr. Joltz smiled as he wiped some dust away from the ground and found a steel cover buried in the floor. "We´ll find out what it is tomorrow."

Next day...

"Ok, let´s try to break in!" Dr. Joltz ordered the group of Reploids that worked under his orders. The worker Reploids hit the metal structure with their spikes and shovels, but they couldn´t go through it. "Well, we can´t break in with metal spikes and shovels. Hmmm..." Dr. Joltz stopped a moment to think. "Ok guys, bring the Hydraulic Hammers!" The Reploids began using the Hydraulic Hammers to break the structure, but they only did a little crack. "Well, this is a pretty hard material, far too strong to be steel."

"Allow me..." A mysterious Reploid emerged from the shadows, his shinning red and grey armor, and his scarf were familiar to the Reploids. "Let me try to break in it."

"Fine Protoman," Dr. Joltz smiled at his good friend. "You can do the honors." Protoman charged his arm-cannon and fired a level 5 shot at the metalic structure. "What the...?" Dr. Joltz and Protoman were pretty impressed when they saw that the metalic structure suffered no damage at all. Protoman charged his Proto-buster at level 10 and fired. The metal floor was blow away, Dr. Joltz and Protoman activated the small rocket busters in their belts and landed softly.

"Wow." Protoman was amazed, he could hardly contain his breathe. "How could Dr. Cain hide something like this from everyone. It looks almost impossible."

"No, if consider how helpful X and Zero could be." Dr. Joltz looked at Protoman with a smile. Dr. Joltz looked carefully at all the technology he found. "Dr. Cain was a genious." Only one of the computers in the lab was working. The computer screen was running some kind of test, which´s procedure was almost complete. "Hmmm... This computer is showing some kind of test procedure, and it asks a code name and a password. Ok, let´s try something."

PASSWORD: ******
WRONG CODE. PLEASE TRY AGAIN

Dr. Joltz looked at Protoman. "Hey don´t look at me!" Protoman smiled at Dr. Joltz. "Try something else. Maybe it has something to do with X and Zero." Protoman looked at Dr. Joltz thinking in something else to try.

"Ok, let´s try something else. Wish me luck" Dr. Joltz smiled.

CODE ACCEPTED. PROCEDURE IN 95%

Suddenly, the floor began to shake. "What´s going on Dr. Joltz?" Protoman tried to keep his footing and grabbed the table nearest to him. Dr. Joltz also grabbed from the computer table. An hydraulic sound began, and two capsule emerged from the floor. "Look, the screen had changed. It´s showing some kind of programs." Dr. Joltz looked at the screen. "Let´s try one." Dr. Joltz typed:

SYSTEM PROCEDING. INITIATING ACTIVATION. PROCEDURE COMPLETE

"Nothing happened, try something else." Protoman had a doubtful look in his face. Dr. Joltz executed another program.

OMEGAZ.INI

SYSTEM PROCEDING. INITIATING ACTIVATION. PROCEDURE COMPLETE.

"It ain´t working! I´ll try something else." Dr. Joltz began looking at the different programs, and tried one.

MEMT.EXE

MEMORY TRANSFER INITIATED. TRANSFER COMPLETED.

"Well, one more and that´s it!" Dr. Joltz was going crazy with all those programs and none of them didn´t work. "I´ll try one more, and if t doesn´t work, I´ll get the hell outta here!" Dr. Joltz tried another program.

ACTIVATE.EXE

ACTIVATION INITIATED. SYSTEM PROCEDING. PLEASE WAIT...

The hydraulic sound began again. The capsules began working, the two Reploids in it were disconnected from the capsules´ computer system, the capsule opened slowly and the Reploids awaked...
