How many times have you used/suffered from Message?

"I use it very little, and I've never suffered from an evil message. :-)"

"Never suffered from it. In fact, I can't remember when someone used it to send me a message."

"A few times. Almost always in GDXXX. ( I put X to maintain player anonymity)"

"Someone once sent a "good luck everyone" message to everyone"

Reasons:

Strong:

"It is useful to make sure if someone is in the game or not."

"I have used it for fun. To send a stupid message to the world such as "Germany must die!" or some other brag."

"Good to try to bring confusion into the game if necessary without "spending" our reputation. Is very dangerous to use."

Weak:

"I have received messages which I couldn't tell from whom they came, by the content, and since it doesn't tell you... Makes it kind of useless sometimes. I always taunt my enemies face to face."

"The "From" field was removed because some players wanted to be able to send Black Press with it. But I see it used for this very little. In fact, I have received a couple of messages with it from players but had no idea who it was from, since they weren't told it would be sent anonymously. So I think I'd like to see the "From" field re-added, or a separate command "BP" (Black Press) added, so a player would have the choice of sending a message within a game anonymously or not."

"I do not feel that this command has any real ability to impact the game."

"NO real point in it, unless it was all done be ME."

"no one is using it. could be remove"

"Nothing, really, it just seems pointless. If you want to send a message, you send an e-mail. The ME seems most suited for those players who want their enemies to get a 'haha! look what I did! you're toast!' message at the instant they get their turn, which just seems a bit silly to me."

Final Conclusion:

The ME command is the less used command of all. Most of the players have never used or saw been used, so far. Some players have used it once or sometimes and probably do not consider ME as a good command.

The player´s reasons for using this command are more related with having fun than with the game by itself. In fact, nobody consider this command to be truly effective and the email can do the same job as the ME command.
