"Your eyesight will return in time."
Preference for linked images and sites is given for actual-release toys rather than prototype or promotional; loose toys rather than packaged or boxed; and large, high-quality scans rather than small, low-quality. Our philosophy holds that the real product's appearance is more meaningful than the advertisement's; the toy's design is more important than that of the plastic and cardboard in which it's wrapped; and, to those with slower connections, the best things come to those who wait.

Fakes!: The above pics which have been distributed to multiple Star Wars sites are in fact fakes. A single person forged the picture, and spread the "news" of finding the figure under multiple aliases on Star Wars discussion groups. The aliases used include: Chris Street (veedox@hotmail.com), Der Kommissar (veedox@hotmail.com), JD (John Delorean) (veedox@hotmail.com), Tim Thomas (tthomas@ou.edu), Chad Boatman (bboat@rain.vax.net), Lord of the Sith (sithl@aol.com), Seth Thomas (sethlord@hotmail.com), and Chris Street (cstreet@ou.edu). The hoax was revealed because all posts came from a single server, artemis.backbone.ou.edu, and all e-mails from hermes.services.ou.edu. The lesson: in the digital age, when it comes to photographs, seeing is *not* believing. |

This rumor was denied on Usenet by Jen at Hasbro (hasbro2@eos.net). Her statement: "The Rebel Fleet Trooper was NOT released with grey pants. The figure was done in tan pants to represent the characters in the ceremony scene from the end of Star Wars." |
