Captain Joseph Lawson

Joseph Lawson was a very rambunctious child. His parent were factory workers living on level eleven of Chi-Town. As a kid he was in a constant state of motion. He was a natural at sports easily beating the other kids his age. When he was twelve years old Joseph started hanging around with one of the local gangs. During the early years in the gang he didn't do much beyond petty mischief. This went on till he was seventeen. At that point his luck changed. One of his minor jokes missed it's intended target and hit a highbrow instead. All that got hurt was the guy's ego but someone had to pay. Joseph was given the option of six months of community service or joining the military. Wishing for a change in life he joined the military.

To the surprise of himself and his parents Joseph was a natural solder. He took to it like a duck to water. After he went through basic it was decided to transfer him over to Special Forces. He went through the course with flying colors. Also the training brought him some things he had not had before: discipline, focus and a sense of purpose. His first assignment was to Lone Star, where he was sent on raids against the Pecos Empire. He saw combat on a regular bases during his six year tour. He always did above and beyond the call of duty. In one mission the 2nd Lieutenant in charge was killed in a ambush. Joseph was given the brevet rank of 2nd Lieutenant for the remainder of the mission and promoted to Sergeant upon his return. For his actions in that mission he was awarded the Crimson Heart and the Iron Star.

After his tour of duty he reinlisted and was transferred to Fort El Dorado for two years. This was a more quiet tour then the Lone Star one had been. He did, though, come to the attention of the base commander, who was impressed with Joseph handling of the kidnapping of a senior General's child. This earned him another Iron Star. When his two years were up the Colonel recommended his acceptance into Officer's Training School. As to his norm he passed with high marks.

Joseph was then transferred back to Lone Star for another six year tour. This time he would be leading the missions. This tour was much like the first one. He got promoted to 1st Lieutenant fours years into the tour. Everything went on as normal, at least for Lone Star that is. On the last year of his tour, Joseph got wind of a plot to destroy the Lone Star complex with a nuclear bomb. After some very quick and cunning field work, he was able to find and stop the would-be terrorist and grab the nuke. For stopping the terrorist he was personally promoted to Captain and given the Imperial Medal of Honor by Karl Prosek.

Current Status: Working in Lone Star providing field security for the Biological warfare labs. He is on the fast track to high command.

Disposition: Joseph is one very cool customer. He is a very stern and disciplined solder who expects the best of the troops beneath him. He is also a fair commander who takes care of his troops, though once you get on his bad side it's very hard to get out.

Weapons & Equipment: Joseph's favorite weapons are the CP-30 Laser Pulse Pistol, C-29 "Hellfire" Heavy Plasma Cannon and a Vibro-Sword. For armor he uses Special Forces CA-7 Heavy "Dead Boy" Armor. He also has a Special Forces "Striker" SAMAS assigned to him for field use.
