A Lightsaber is a weapon personally constructed by each Jedi. The "blade of light" is produced when light is focused through rare cystals. The construction of a Lightsaber is the final skills taught to an Apprentice Jedi.

The Lightsaber is the most powerful close combat weapon on the battle field. It's "blade" can cut through almost anything save another Lightsaber. A fully trained Jedi can even use the Lightsaber as an effective "shield", deflecting incoming hits.

Special Rules:

Strength Value:The Ligthsaber has no strength value as it automatically causes damage. If for any reason that game-play will require a strength value it is 10 + Jedi's strength.
Damage Roll:A Lightsaber causes D6 wounds. Target takes damage as normal. But on a roll of 5 or 6 target is killed outright!
Armor Saves: Against a Lightsaber an opponent receives no armor saves. Field saves may be taken.
Close Combat Weapons: If an opponent used any weapon(s) in close combat choose one to be lost after combat is resolved (sliced in two!). Only exceptions to this rule are: Daemon Weapons & another Lightsaber.
Parrying:Only Daemon weapons and another Ligthsaber can parry a Ligthsaber.

Lightsaber Saving Throw:

Against incoming hits a Jedi may use his Lightsaber to protect themselves from that hit, be it from shooting or from close combat. When attempting a saving throw utilizing the Jedi's Lightsaber make an initiative roll using the modifiers on the table below:

  • <66 7-8>8
  • Initiative Modifier
  • -2-3 -4-5


    *NOTE: When saving against close combat hits use the strength of the opponent NOT the strength of opponent's weapon being used.

    This roll cannot be modified using the Jedi's Force Pool.
