The Big Show
(or boy did Rick Steiner hit his growth spurt late)
Real Name: Paul Wight
Federation: WWF/WWE
Other Gimmicks: The Giant
Paul Wight is truly a giant of a man. He stands about 7 feet 4 inches making him the biggest superstar in WWE. This is precisely why Mr. Wight gets a world title belt thrown his way every once and a while and is constantly on the top of the card or at least featured prominently. Now a man of his size is a great asset to the company, especially when it comes to putting over talent. Who (not you Neidhart) wouldn’t benefit from toppling a monster of a man in the middle of the ring? Now Mr. Wight wouldn’t be here at all except for on little fact: his inability to lose weight or stay in shape. Show was pretty trim when he first appeared on WWF TV but no long after that his already impressive weight began growing and soon it looked as if he swallowed a keg. We his added girth came a massive hindrance of his mobility. He slowly lumbered around the ring much like the king of barely walking in a sporting event that is meant for entertainment: Kevin Nash. Not only was he slow but also got winded after barely anything at all. The management sent him down to OVW to lose weight but all he really managed to do was chokeslam R.D. Reynolds. He returned amazingly weight about the same and for his total lack of doing what he was suppose to be doing he go more pushes. So if you’re really tall and can’t reach for the remote without losing your breath call WWE because they love people like you.
