After the split caused the APA to break up, Bradshaw kind of went back to his roots. He previously did a cowboy gimmick in WWF twice (one half of the New Blackjacks and as Justin “Hawk” Bradshaw) and went for a third time. As you can probably guess it was far from a charm. He donned a cowboy hat and boots and brought a rope with a bell on it to the ring. You know nothing says tough then a grow man dressed as a cowboy. The bulk of this gimmick rested solely on the fact that he was from Texas. He would be put over by JR as being from Texas and reminded us every damn night that that is indeed where he is from. Hell, the guy even got his own lame hardcore belt with a Texas flag and bullhorns on it. When you’re gimmick is based on the state or city you came from you pretty much have a crappy gimmick.
