People who aren’t wrestlers should never wrestle in a wrestling match on TV. This rule is broken all the time in the world of sports entertainment. Just look at Jay Leno, Dennis Rodman, Harvey Whippleman, Howard Finkel, and Mark Madden. The WWF had the bad choice of putting a match with two non-wrestlers at its super hyped Invasion PPV. God only knows why Vince put this and the bra and panties match at the second most important PPV of the year. The PPV was supposed to be the WWF’s finest against the WCW/ECW’s finest and this was far from it. Lets start at the beginning shall we? WCW refs started refereeing matches on RAW and Smackdown, fine enough. Then the trouble started, the WWF refs didn’t like the fact that the WCW refs were there and refereeing matches. The WWF refs got pissed and attacked the WCW refs. Nick Patrick the head WCW ref asked Commissioner Regal for a match against Earl Hebner (WWF’s senior ref) at Invasion. The match was only good in the so bad it’s funny kind of way. Earl won the match and hopefully he and the other refs stay out of fighting in the ring forever.
