Our favourite main character, Guybrush Threepwood, doesn't have new stories to explain to his friends pirates, which are overbored of the one about LeChuck's spectacular death. Therefore, he decides to leave Scabb Island and find new adventures. This time his objective is to find Dinky Island's legendary Big Whoop. But LeChuck is back, accompanied by the despicable Largo LaGrande. Guybrush will have to find the four pieces of the map that point out to the treasure going beyond the varied difficulties he'll find on his way through Scabb Island, Phatt Island, Booty Island and, to take for granted, Dinky Island. He'll meet again Elaine, Stan, the voodoo sorceress... Everything will conclude in a surprising ending. 
This adventure is a very achieved attempt to recover the fascinating atmosfear of its predecessor. It continues the same graphics style, but with more quality. The fact that it offers two versions based on the difficulty level (Normal and Light) makes The Secret of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge a perfect game for everybody: both for the experts and for the newbies in the adventure world. The plot, although weaker than the one of the first part, is fresh and contains a good humor dosage. The interface is still the SCUMM, but, unlike the first part, it includes icons with the images of the inventory.
