The Dig
Plot
An asteroid
with the size of a small moon is going towards a sure crash with the Earth.
The chosen ones to alter the course of its trajectory are
Comander Boston Low, a veteran of the NASA; Maggie Robbins, a journalist;
and Ludger Brink, an international recognized geologer. After stablishing
a new route for the asteroid they make a routine examination of
its surface. But this will carry them to a new world that Low will
baptize as Cocytus. There they'll discover the secrets
of a completely unknown universe to them. Brink will turn
mad because of a misterious life crystals until an untenable
situation that will lead into one of the two possible
endings of the game.

Review:
The fact that
Steven Spielberg was an important collaborator in the making of this game
speaks by itself. The graphics are very cared and, together with the music,
they create an ambient that wraps the player up at once. But maybe the best
of this adventure is the script and the riddles it poses. The difficulty
is not excessive for an expert, but probably it is for a novice. Anyway, all
the aspects are well connected, there are no loose ropes and the logic of
the actions is a very positive point. To sum up, it is a little master
piece between the magic and the X Files.
