Green Squadron Responses to Should we Continue On? Fynvola Fynvola smiles at Darrin's concern, but nods slightly as she replies, "That young one could use a lesson in manners , but I am not inclined to school him just now. I agree we should travel as far as reasonably possible past that clearing...especially (typo)-=he=she=-'s had a chance to scanit out. But don't you worry, m'lord, I will guard your cousin with my life." She turns her mount quite suddenly and rides back to the carriage with Zeptha, winking conspiratorially at Zan and Zeptha, knowing full well what Darrin's reaction is apt to be. She rides again beside Zeptha and quietly speaks with her. Darrin Darrin grins and laughs out, "I have no doubt, that you can handle anything, Red. Though my cousin might give you a run for your money." Laughing heartily he yells out, "I feel sorry for any man that tries to go after those two, wildcats." Dunz Kann "Agreed. In fact. We should not stop until dark. We can take our noon meal as we ride. I prefer as much distance from this group as possible." [Darrin] You know this route well? I ask for two reasons. 1) They said they were in a hurry. 2) And they just used a (known) campsite just ahead. Darrin "There are many well used campsites twixt here and Watersdeep. The Outriders keep them clean and use them quite often themselves. They also patrol the road and assist travellers who are in trouble of any kind," Darrin is quick to inform everyone. "I know the one, this Agrardon speaks of. It is the first one out of Daggerford, and leaving that town at first light, is usually where Tag and I...stop," he trails off. "But not tonight, it's too early to stop." Dunz Kann Well. It seems odd to me if they only just now broke camp this late in the day if they are truly in a hurry? (Perhaps it was just a lunch break?) Malic Daggerfall I mates. I says that we should not stop eather. For what better way to ambush someone and stick an arrow in his back. Although getting off this damb horse would sound like a good idea. Isn't there a way to get there by ship? Darrin Darrin grins and says, "We are too far inland of the coast. And the pirate activity has been very great the last few early springs. No I will not risk my cousin to the likes of them." Dunz Kann [Malic] Hey! I'll switch with you for the sake of your backside. I'm sure you and Shiro will have much to talk about. "Would ya'll hand me my shield?" says the big man before he expertly handles the horse like one who has done so many times. Zantorax Nightwind "I agree, m'lord. That welp chose the wrong ladies to eye up so rudely." I laugh, though I know that electricity flickers between my eyes and belies my outward good nature. "Tis too bad not everyone is as polite as we were raised to be." My final statement being directed towards Darrin. Fynvola Quain At the last words Fynvola sputters and quickly turns her face to hide the laughter wreaking havock with her lips and dancing in her eyes. Green Squadron reaches THE CLEARING As you travel about another mile, you see a small copse of trees on your right. Darrin spurs his horse towards it, with one hand wavering near the hilt of a battle axe sheathed on his saddle. He pulls up and strains to look into the trees, searching for any sign of danger. As the rest of you approach, cart and carriage well surrounded, you see a clearing nestled in the trees that opens right up to the road. There is even a little pathway for a cart to park on the side of the road. The clearing is very tranquil and peaceful. There is a well formed firepit of piled stones in the center of the clearing. As you near him, he says, "I don't see anything, but still let's go on as we've decided. Warm and comfortable beds await us in the little village of Yronry. It is a humble and quiet little place. The surrounding land is tilled by farmers and always produdes a bountiful crop." His smile deepens and he says softly, "Twas here that I spent the first few months of my life, so my father told me."
