Green Passes Mercs Zantorax "Ah, I fear I have fallen victim to one of the dangers of the road, my rear is killing me." I rub my sore backside and dismount from my horse, leaving my staff in its hanger, slung accross the horse's back. On the ground I jump up and down for a bit while talking with the lady. "So, what brings you away from the festival? I have never seen it but I hear it is something one does not want to miss." My bounching is obviously my way of working the stiffness out of my muscles. It is obvious that I am neither experienced at, nor fond of riding. Dunz Kann "Let's move up to the others Shiro. The "valuable cargo" is ahead.", says the warrior as he climbs back up on the wagon. As the wagon nears, he pulls back his hood to greet warmly the strangers, although, you might notice a slight hesitation as his eyes rest briefly on the young human male. Shiro Minamoto "Hai, you are wise Dunz - san. But do not forget we have many allies. If we must always look behind us then we only walk in circles," I say to Dunz Kann as I study the mercenary group very sharply for detail, faces and equipment. Green Squadron Turn 11 cont. Danger or not? The older man spurs his mount up next to Agrardon, and says, "It is too bad we are heading in the opposite direction. We have unfortunate timing. We have been hired to help clean up the area around Dragonspear Castle. Monster hunting is no favorite pasttime of ours, and we would all much rather be at the festival. You're sure to enjoy this one. However, we are trying to make a name for ourselves and can not pass up this job," he says gruffly. Agrardon smiles at him warmly, and then turns to Darrin in a motherly tone of voice, "It is near noon, young man. I can tell you that there is a clearing less than a mile away, where you can rest yourselves and your horses. Just up the road. It is a campsite, the Outriders (road patrollers) of Waterdeep use. We were just there." Darrin replies lightly, "I thank you, and wish you good luck in your endeavors. Perhaps some day, I will hear word of your great deeds, Agrardon. I appreciate your offer, and I thank you for your time and information. Forward, rest is around the bend it seems," Darrin calls out behind him. Agrardon says brightly as she spurs her horse forward, "Until Swords part, young ones." Each of her band nods politely to Darrin and everyone in the group as they swing by. And all note that as the young human passes Fynvola and Zeptha, he eyes them over very well, as though sizing up deer he is going to go hunt. Darrin edges his horse a few steps toward his cousin and the fiery redhead. The young mercenary catches his eyes and grins disdainfully at Darrin before urging his horse to a gallop after his friends. Darrin nods you all forward, though as Zeptha begins to ride past, Darrin reaches out swiftly and grabs her reins up by the horse's mouth. You can all hear him say, "Stay in between the carriage and the wagon, Zep." As each of you pass him, you note that his emerald eyes are cold and hard. "I fear for our lovely compatriots, gentleman, and I say we ride hard past that clearing. What say you all?"
