Dan Eig's Personal Page

Well, here we are at my personal info page. For all those who care or don't, I'm Daniel Eig, an alumni of : and its non-award winning computer science program. All hail the mighty alma mater whose web project progeny you read today!

Currently though I'm a 2nd level support drone at Computer Associates
, a company who creates business products that you probably have never heard of. Show me the money!!!!! And in the four years at CA I've racked up some impressive jobs: call center operator. first line support technician (go ARCserve!). Development. Marketing (Running my divisions part of the annual convention). second line support (my current home - another development organization).

I'm really into computers, the web, astronomy, and my not so secret passion: history . I also like gaming... I used to play the big CCG's - Magic: The Gathering (started right after antiquities and have gotten hold of some nice cards through boosters and friendly trades including The Abyss, and some Elder Dragons. I also used to play Star Wars: The CCG as well. I got some good cards for that also: Luke, Chewbacca, Tarkin, R2-D2, Wedge (he rules), the Millenium Falcon, Lando, Leia, Boba Fett and much more!

Just to round out the gaming experience other favorites: Puerto Rico, Battle Cry, Age of Renaissance, Civilization, Empire Builder, Diplomacy, Cathedral, VGA Planets (too much time on this), and Quake. Hmmm. I probably should just gather them together into a link. Definitely an action item. Well till then, here's a link to my collection at boardgamegeek

Of course people who really know me well, know that my pride and joy is my DVD player, and my many dvd titles

For those trying to stay up-to-date with my life, I interned at Lockheed-Martin for 8 weeks this summer. Then I went on my two week, west coast tour, and back to college to enjoy the greatest semester schedule I know of: Tuesday Thursday classes only, starting at 10 AM, ending at 5PM. that means I get 4 day weekends every week, and I get to wake up late every day. I love life. Alas after this semester I will no doubt revert to some schedule I hate. (summer 97 update)

Well I guess I figured wrong. Here I am, the next semester and I have pretty much the same schedule: just improved!!! Ha! Now I have all my classes in late morning late afternoon.(spring 98)

of course, the latest news is my graduation from Binghamton with a Bachelor's of Science. I am now employed at the fine company Computer Associates International, at its Islandia, New York HQ. Currently I am a technician providing tech support for Arcserve NT. (spring 99)

whew - another year (or so) - another 4 or 5 positions. I'm not back in tech support (but in a development activity) for ARCserve - through the round about way of development, marketing, and back to development again (though this time doing coding for support). Oh yeah. Personal life. I also got engaged - the big day is May 27 2002. And after that I get to take a nice two week honeymoon Yeah me! If you want to know who, go back through my site and read. (present/late 01)
Well, here are some links to some buddies of mine:

Here lies the homepage of one Sandro Rodriguez. A former coworker at Computer Associates. He also went to Binghamton. He will soon be embarking on a career as a customer service rep.

This is Lori Colman's homepage. She went to Spain, but now she's back

Over here is a link to my friend Tina Prout's home page. Can you guess what she is based off the website name?.

Here is a link to Jolene's web page. She used to tend to revamp her whole webpage about every time someone signs my guestbook (which if you check my guestbook it may actually be more often than you think). Alas, it now appears to be another dead site for the internet carrion pickers

Ian Kezsbom returns to the web with his all new ego page.

The Jon and Al Kaplan Page. Jon used to room with Ian. They are also the musical team behind Silence! Silence of the Lambs: The Musical.

April Koich's Blog. I think she stole the whole idea of putting frank discussions of her personal life from me.
