This fine steel dagger was forged by the weaponsmiths of Le Mason de Trancher, famed craftsmen of Forestburg. The steel blade, which flares at the base, is strong and sharp. The grip is wrapped in sheepskin bindings, providing for comfortable use. The pommel and quillons are made, with a secret process, of silver-streaked steel, and are all orb-shaped. The pommel is engraved with the symbol of Le Gild des Sorcieres du Forestburg. The knuckle-guard is crafted from wrought iron and shines with silver-coated brilliance. Finally, the dagger comes with a fitted leather sheath, which is stitched with beautiful artistic designs, and belt-loops.
While this finely-crafted dagger functions quite sufficiently as a weapon of personal defense, it has also been enchanted by Le Gild des Sorcieres du Forestburg. It has been bestowed with the power to provide an amount of light sufficient to ten candles, which provides the user with enough light to make their way through complete darkness. The illumination extends to an effective range of forty hands (20'). All that is necessary for the magical light to issue forth, is for the user to firmly grasp the handle.
