Rating System

You may be wondering how I give the score that I do. If I do not have a Full Version of a game I have to relay on the shareware, which may give it a lower score then it deserves. The rating is my own opinion and mine alone. Well, here it is broken down:

Sound, Graphics, Replay Value, Fun Factor, Challenge, Control, Innovation, Story line, Overall.

Each category is out of ten, one being the lowest and ten being the highest.

Sound
<x1> The sound is the music and the sound effects. A score of one would have to be terrible music coming out of the PC speaker. A 5 would be general music coming out of the speakers; nothing fancy. A 10 would be something special. You would have to stop playing for a moment and get a tissue. If you were in a battle the music would get your adrenaline pumpin'.

Graphics
<x3> This is how well the graphics are. How many colours do the programmers use? Is there much change in the graphics? Is it smooth and creative? A one would have to be a text RPG. A ten would have to be something, like, 3D. Graphics aren't that important because if you love a game you won't care what it looks like.

Replay Value
<x9> To me this is the most important category. There is no point in investing money in a product if you can't play it over and over again. A 1 would be only about 1-3 hour(s) of game play then you couldn't play it again. A 10 would be most likely a random game creator. You could play the game until eternity.

Fun Factor
<x6> This is another important category. How much do you actually like the game. It may have awesome graphics and the music may make you cry but does it make your stomatch turn when you play this game. A 1 would be..well.. You would rather being at school or doing taxes. A 10 would be an addictive game. You could wait until you gained another level.

Challenge
<x5> How hard is this game? Can you breeze through it in a few hours. Do you not have to save up levels? Is this game too hard? You have NO idea where to go? Well the game would get a 1 any of those. A 10 would be a game with a choice of challenge.

Control
<x2> Is this game easy yo control. Do you have to play twister pressing the right keys and mouse buttons? If you press up and you go down then the game would get a 1. If the game has great response and is smooth then if deserves a ten.

Innovation
<x3> Haven't I seen this game before? Does this game have new and creative features never seen before in a T-CRPG? If so then it gets a 10. If this game is a copy of yesterday's game then it gets a 1.

Story Line
<x6> Did the author if this RPG copy the story off the back of a cereal box? Then it gets a one. Is the writer the next Shakespeare? Then he/she gets a ten.

Overall
This is the Overall percent of the game. If you look beside each category there is a <x_> that is what that category is weighed by. Each result is multiplied by the category weight. Then it is added together and divided by 278 points (the max amount a game could get) and then multiplied by 100, which gives the percent.

0-40%
Crappy game. Maybe download the shareware, but not really worth the time.

41-50%
Get the shareware but that's about it. Nothing to look forward to.

51-75%
If you like this game you should get the full version. Good enough to keep you busy for a while.

76-89%
Wow. This game looks like FF1 for Nintendo. Nice game play, innovative characters, nice feel. It's a taker.

90-100%
It is finally here. It's what I have been waiting for. A rpg that will last for ever; with killer graphics and characters that build with the story. This is what True Role Playing games are all about.
